Austin Heights Business Improvement Association

The Austin Heights Business Improvement Association (AHBIA) is the first official Business Improvement Association (BIA) in Coquitlam and is committed to ensuring Austin Heights is a wonderful and vibrant place to shop and conduct business.  This newly formed BIA, located in an established neighborhood, has been very busy implementing many measures and initiatives to support the success of the business community.

Austin Heights is a busy commercial district with an especially high concentration of small businesses, and is anchored by the larger retailers Safeway and Rona.  Austin Heights offers a wide array of specialty shops, beauty salons and treatments. A number of  professional offices are located in this area, as well as many other services.  There is also an abundance of fabulous restaurants, and eateries.  Plan to spend the day, and discover the unique shopping experience of Austin Heights.

Burnaby Heights


The Heights Merchants Association is a Business Improvement Area (BIA) consisting of approximately 400 merchants and 150 property owners who actively promote the Heights, improve its physical attractiveness, organize events, attract shoppers and businesses to the area, solve problems and lobby on behalf of its members, implement plans for our neighbourhood’s future, contribute to the community in multiple ways, and much more.

The Downtown Chilliwack Business Improvement Association (the BIA) was established in 1995 as a non-profit organization that now represents over 360 businesses and 240 property owners that provide a diverse range of products and services.

The mandate of the Cloverdale Business Improvement Association (CBIA) formed in 1995 is to promote goods and services by Cloverdale businesses, and to increase market opportunities for the commercial district as a whole. In creating a pleasant, thriving business district, the CBIA’s objective is to build on Cloverdale’s intrinsic qualities and heritage, and to improve the area’s physical, social and economic well-being.

Langley (Downtown)


The Downtown Langley Merchants Association was formed in 1994 to give representation to all the businesses in Langley. In the year 2000, the City of Langley by way of a by-law, created the Business Improvement Area (BIA), which is under the direction of the Downtown Langley Merchants Association. This new BIA encompasses Fraser Highway, Douglas Crescent, 56th Avenue and Logan Avenue from 201A Street to 207th Street and Glover Road to Duncan Road. All businesses that are located within our boundaries are automatic members.

Lower Lonsdale Business Association

The Lower Lonsdale Business Association (LLBA) is in the process of converting to a BIA in partnership with the City of North Vancouver.  Lower Lonsdale is the historic centre of the first commercial and residential area of the North Shore, and continues to undergo a major redevelopment with high density condos and expanding commercial space.  LLBA business-members are very keen about the resources which will be available as a BIA to enhance,  beautify and promote our vibrant waterfront business community, and help us expand our 3 major annual festivals:  July 17 & 18, 2010 Party / Symphony-at the-Pier, September 19 Lower Lonsdale Fall Festival, and the Christmas Lights and Carol Ships Celebration.

The Port Coquitlam Business Improvement Association was formed in 1994 with the mandate of revitalizing the downtown area and enhancing local business opportunities.

With the development of two major projects in the downtown area; the new Bank of Montreal building and Shaughnessy Square, we can anticipate further investment and greater momentum for downtown revitalization.

Squamish

Inspired by the natural views that surround it, the Downtown Squamish Business Improvement Association's mandate is to stimulate and promote the downtown neighbourhood as a vibrant hub of the community. The BIA is the collective voice of downtown businesses working together to establish Downtown Squamish as a unique destination attraction and source of community pride through the creation of improvement and beautification projects, and entertainment, sports and cultural activities

Tsawwassen

The Business Improvement Association (BIA) of Tsawwassen, was formed in January 1991 through the efforts of the Tsawwassen Business Association, a group of local business people.   Currently in its third, 5 year-term, the Tsawwassen BIA and its board continue to focus on business development, promotion and creating economic opportunities for its members. The Tsawwassen BIA has approximately 275 individual business members ranging from small retail owner-operated businesses to larger corporate entities like Canada Safeway, Thrifty Foods, Century Group and the Coast Tsawwassen Inn. Downtown Surrey


The Downtown Surrey Business Improvement Association was formed in 2003 to facilitate; business improvement, community Economic Development, Business Revitalization and enhancement to the Whalley area. Our goal is to assist Whalley businesses and commercial property owners in the Surrey City centre build a vibrant, safe and liveable downtown. Whalley is strategically located in the heart of the Greater Vancouver Regional District. We have a young workforce, reasonable land and lease opportunities, in Surrey, the fastest growing City in BC. White Rock


The White Rock Business Improvement Association is a not-for-profit business enhancement collective of retail, service and commercial property owners within the defined White Rock business improvement areas of Uptown, Five Corners, East Beach and West Beach. Governed by a voluntary board of directors, the BIA was created in 2005 to promote, enhance and champion a vibrant White Rock business community. At present, the BIA represents more than 450 business members.
